Elite S1 Waistline Trim

Post by MetBlue »

We've discussed on the Zoom meet this trim. I understand it's been unavailable in UK for some time.

Back around 1990 I bought some from Christopher Neil's ( which like all the other stuff I bought, I've not yet got around to fitting   . I have been asked to post dimensions, so here goes.
Thought it was easier and less ambiguous using photo's.
Both following thickness photo's are measured to EXCLUDE the double sides adhesive tape - As you see from the above, the sticky stuff isn't after 30 years - but we'll sort that another day :D .

And the widths:
First picture is total width, over the black plastic.

The chrome strip, sits slightly narrower:

And the black centre line has a mottled / bubbled top surface:

And whilst posting, anyone got any surplus end cap pieces? I only have 4 ( and they need refinishing !)

Thanks for that Tony! Great to have included the photos :D. I bought SJ's last 7 end pieces a couple of years ago, unless they've managed to get some more since then. But you need 8!!
