Re: dashboard veneered panels
I'm in the process of refurbishing mine DIY method.
I got a really bad set from Lotus Bit's, which after soaking in water, was able to remove veneer and bond back onto a flat sheet of MDF. Although more work, I used this route so I knew I had the right wood.
Jobs not finished yet, but so far looking good. I also got some veneer off Internet of a couple of different wood matches.
Early days, but may well end up with a good set spare before the winters out. Watch this space.

Re: dashboard veneered panels
Hi
I spoke with Ged at gdk yesterday, seemed helpful enough, looked at the photos I sent him and he confirmed what I had reckoned; veneer is too far gone so start over.
He's quoted me £250. Sounds a lot for two small panels though.
I will see what classic dash suggest in the week.
Anyone done this with either company?? what cost, what quality ??
