Unusual dashboard?

Post by Pete Boole »

I've recently bought a few Elite spares which included a dash moulding. It has no holes for the vents at each end of the dash. It's not been repaired/recovered. I don't recall ever seeing one without these vents. Any more info out there regarding this?

I believe the Eclat 520 had a dash without side vents.

Ah, so that's where it's from! It may be useful - I was thinking about moving the vents up slightly to make room for some "tweeters" which would work better lower down as they would be less hidden behind the glove box and instrument binnacles - higher frequencies are more directional that bass frequencies.
