A little short on content.

Which model, and door or glass mounted?

For the excel the two glass mounted were black and the Citroen door mounted were colour coded

My '74 Elite has satin black electric mirrors. The satin black is just the colour of the plastic they're moulded from.

Don't know where they were from but they are monkey metal. Perhaps we could get some re-cast in brass, for easy chroming?

as I havent got the car at the moment due to it being in for paint.......Im guessing a little bit

I presume the bracket comes away in 2 bits......the seating plate that connects to the body and the 'stalk' on which the mirror housing sits
these could then be cast from...............or........
these bits are, Im sure, small enough to be 3D scanned......these can then be 3D printed.......
these can be printed in the cheapest material going and then cast.....
or cut from a single piece of stainless by a 3d milling machine/cnc machining.....

3D printing is cheap enough if you have a print file.........and Ive used people like shapeways before and found them very goo and reasonable
https://www.shapeways.com/
also by giving them the file.....its then available for anyone in the world if they need the bits......

just a thought

There are also spray chrome systems that can chrome just about any material - http://www.chromespray.co.uk/

The Elite-Eclat mirrors have been unobtainium for a long time, so this will probably be of very little help, but...

The Elite-Eclat door mirrors were from Autosafe Ltd. I have a JPEG of an Autosafe ad from back in the day... "The Premier Electric Door Mirror from Autosafe". It shows two views of the mirror (black with chrome base) installed on an Eclat, and gives the company's contact info as Trinity Road, Richmond, Surrey, phone 01-940 6060. That's ancient history, and I have no idea if the address is still valid. The mirrors were actually manufactured by a Hong Kong company, Qualidux Industries, at their factory in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I was there in the mid-1980s, and saw the mirrors in the lobby display case.
