2014 NEC Classic Motor Show : 14th to 16th November

Application for space is going in today. Since 2014 is the 40th anniversary of the Elite, I'm requesting space for up to 14 cars - one Elite from each year of production (total 8/9 depending on how you count it) + up to 6 others (Eclats would be particularly welcome as they haven't been well represented on the club stand so far. Simpatico's car was very well received in 2013).

So, do we have some volunteers to show their cars ? (N.B. please note - if you volunteer, you are making a commitment to get your car to the show (if it's one of the selected display cars), unless it is completely immobile for some reason).

Please state model, year and anything especially significant about it (interesting history, modifications, unique features etc.)

I had a lot of fun at this event. My wife......less so

Would be keen to do it again if I can organise a boys-only cartel to ensure transport & accommodation etc.

Next time would most likely be in an Elite of some description, exact spec to be confirmed!

Living away most of next year in Mumbai and the middle east but I am sure even if I can't make it, I could find someone to drive her there

I'll be happy to bring the Essex Elite again, if required. It's V reg, so with Richard and Roger's Elites we could have W and X covered, the last three years of the Elite S2.2 (80, 81, 82).

So we just need to get volunteers with M, N, P, R, S & T reg Elite S1s ! I'll put some thought into it.

Count me in also. As you may remember, 1981 X registered Essex Blue Automatic, first owner Sir John Junor (then Editor of the Sunday Express). Should be finished by then!

We could really do with an Elite theme for this year. I'd like to get a couple of pop-up banners done similar to the Excel Milestones one that we already have - if someone can produce a list for me (like the one in Technical Articles)
