I got the "forbidden" on a PM when there was a quote present. Cleared that and then okay.

Excel HQ is in room 123.

Shirley & I will be going to Dereham in the morning to collect the 2.5kw generator - it should *just* fit in the boot of an Excel (cue jokes about bastard offspring of Lotus & VW/Porsche ? )

All being well, we'll get some sea air and then meet the troops at the Holiday Inn for a nonvoy to Hethel with all the gear distributed across the cars.

Current state of car park :

2 Excels (1 with dodgy passenger window - I don't what SWMBO did to it on the way down, it was fine when we left home!),
4 Greek Elise/Exige + 1 Greek Opel Speedster.

(+ busload of raucous SKI*ers)

P.S. - drive down was hellish - 7 hours to do 250 miles. A1 was bad, M1 was solid, A1 was bad again, A14 was nasty and A11 was dreadful. BAH! France next year anyone ?

May be a little late just returned form hospital, Wife and new baby daughter doing well . May not make it to Saturday evening, subject to swmdo exit from hospital. Have already packed generator projector, screen and Excel bits in car. Will call in the morning when things are a bit clearer

Just a bit.... we arrived at the A11 junction at c10.30. Sat in the queue till about 11.45 having moved 300 yards (still 3.5 miles from the factory), at which time I consulted the Tom Tom for a back route in..... by 12.00 I was in Potash Lane!!

Tom Tom saves the day....again. And at least I know my cooling system works!

Ouch! nasty.

I guess it made sense to be in early as a display vehicle after all - even though we followed the dirt track behind the Eng. Centre onto the test track to get to the club area.

Sounds like they need to do as much work as Donington to get traffic sorted for next year.
