What - no photos yet??!! :D. Pull your finger out Phil :D

Hope you're having a good show. I'm missing it :(

Pete
I tried to post some pictures on Saturday but had trouble with my one drive - seems to be working now.
A big thankyou to Richard for organising this.

Matts series one Esprit drew a lot of interest - can't believe what he paid for it. See info sheet below. And the leather inside is superb - all done by his wife.

I think a bomb went off in Richards car. I wondered if it would all go back together in time to drive home on Sunday but it was completed with hours to spare.

What started of with fixing the heater, turned into fixing the sticking door, interior light switch and power assisted steering belt tension.

Excel for sale in auction. Looks better than it was in the picture. Lots of play in the door beams, scruffy interior and engine bay. Would make a good project for someone,. We reckoned worth 4 to 5k. See info sheet for what they estimated to value to be.

Not sure if it was after you left Pete, but Gary Mavers popped by our stand right at the end of the show when things were nice and quiet, had a lovely chat.

I had a chat with him on Sunday morning. He asked me what I think he should do with the interior of the Elite. Replace the velor or change to leather - what do you think?
Cheers, Phil

Leather, so much more durable and was an option. Having had success getting used repair sections where needed set into my original leather one, I'd say go for leather but try and find a source of used / aged leather in the colour chosen to keep an aged / patinated look. I bought a leather chair on ebay for £10, yes it would be tricky to find enough matching but aged for the whole re-upholstery but worth the effort, I'd say, to avoid the 'too new' look.

Great photo's and effort by all at the show. Maybe my vinyl roof for 2024 ?!

Thanks for posting the photos Phil.

As for the upholstery if I were to go to the expense of renewing the interior I'd choose leather every time

I'm replacing the Corduroy in my Elite with leather as well - easier to clean!
