Hinckley BID’s 10th Annual Motorshow – Sunday September 19th 2021

Post by richardw »

Received this email today. Oliver used to attend this event along with a few of us - sadly no Oliver this year but I plan to go along anyway as it’s a well organised day out with lots of interesting vehicles. Please post here if you plan to go, as well as to the evening meetings noted below:

We do hope that you and your families have not suffered too badly during the Covid pandemic and we thought it would be good to bring you some cheerful news.

In the hope that normality will have returned at least by September, we are busily planning our 10th Annual Hinckley Town centre Motorshow.

If you are considering supporting this Event, could you please:

Put the date in your diary.
Send us a short e-mail by return to info@hinckleybid.co.uk with a YES and brief details of your vehicle. This will not commit you to anything, it will just give us some indication as to the number of likely entrants.

We will then include you in all future relevant correspondence regarding the Motorshow Event. This year we will probably be admitting only those vehicles who have pre-registered with us, and once again this Event will be free of charge to both Enter a vehicle, and to visit. As usual, there will be lots of Prizes!

If you know of others with a suitable vehicle, please could you pass the word to them and invite them to contact us so that we can also include them and make this once again a really popular and successful Event.

Our FREE early evening Classic vehicle MEETS will be held on Thursday 20th May 2021, Thursday 17th June 2021, Thursday 15thJuly 2021 and Thursday 19th August 2021 (subject to covid restrictions being lifted). Please arrive at Market Place, Hinckley LE10 1NT via Station Road and you will be guided to a parking place by a Marshall. There is no charge and you are welcome to leave at any time - there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and watering-holes nearby and the close-by Public loos will be left open. Any queries, please call Steve on 0770 939 4841 or e-mail steve@hinckleybid.co.uk

Cheers, Richard

Sounds a good day out, and pretty local to me, so I may go along to this one.

Ok Phil - there’s no club booking for this one - you need to email them yourself to indicate your interest. Once we have a confirmed contingent, I’ll ask them to put us together. They do normally try to group similar cars..

Haven't been to Hinckley for a while so I'll let them know I plan to go to the Sunday event. I don't know about the evening events but would like to attend one of them.
What car is that?

Just to let you know, it is generally a free for all and not booking hasnt stopped me - yet!

Nice to co ordinate though so if you do get a posey together Argents Mead is the grassed area at the top and where the Ice cream van sits :)

Why not book Stu? It is free and there is no commitment. If not enough people book we end up trying to fit a quart into a pint pot and we’ve all been there before!

Evening -

I have booked a place on this one and look forward to seeing you there.

Phil (Tanz) - I sent you an email in response to your Club Lotus Staffs message about this event but I think I remember you saying my e-mails end up in your Junk !

Thanks
