I have never driven at castle combe, does the circuit sell fuel, as it would be a good thing to have the right amount of fuel on the day, and would rather not have it brimming full on the first lap. never taken the lotus on a track day ,but fuel does go down quickly on the track. Also with our engine do we need to overfill the oil, to help with surge issues ?

I don't believe they sell fuel at the circuit, but as you approach Caste Combe you pass a petrol station.

Have a look on the below thread where I received some good advice a couple of years ago.

I’m doing the track sessions again this year, but in my Elan.

In terms of fuel the track is 1.85 miles long and the lap record in a F3 car is 59sec, so in a 15 min session I would guess 1min 20-1min 30 per lap, so 10-12 laps per session, or am I way out 🤷‍♂️ I was having so much fun when I did it I didn’t count how many laps I completed🤣🤣

amborghini Urraco P250 James May 1:58.00

Ma Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 Richard Hammond 1:43.00

Maserati Merak Jeremy Clarkson 1:54.00

BMW M3 (E90) Tiff Needell 1:19.70

SO I found a few lap times online, so faster than the top gear 3 in there clapped out supercars and 20seconds slower than tiff would seem a fair result. But of course no one will be timing it !!!!! What the MPG will be is of course worse than you could possible imagine

Guy's : What is your target arrival time at J15.
Coming from N'pton, I'll be on pretty much the same route plan.

Earliest they can start is 8.30. At previous events the first track sessions were from around 9 if I recall correctly. Those not booked to drive tend to arrive largely between 9 and late morning, on the earlier side if they want to park with their club or group. Track bookings are full, weather looks ok so it is likely to be busy.

As posted above:

I’ve checked with Alan Morgan re arrival times - the track sessions start at 9.00am but if you don’t have a session booked you can arrive whenever you choose - just drive slowly in the paddock area (where our dedicated parking is) as people will be wandering about. I will be there from around 8.00am to ensure nobody trespasses on our pitch.

Look forward to seeing everyone,

Richard
