SOCIALLY DISTANCED HAMPSHIRE MEET UP?

Post by shaunw »

Anyone interested in meeting up in an open space during June or July? If so we can try to arrange a suitable venue. Not normally more than 6 of us so should be fine. 8)

Will it be 7 miles from home like usual? That'll be 95 for me then

I'll give that a go if it's a Sunday - can do any Sunday in June - some in July. Unfortunately working 6 days a week at the moment so can't do Saturdays.
If most people prefer Saturday then I am happy to drop out.

I can only think of one suitable car park which is in the Village of Selborne. Is there anywhere that we could meet close to you Tony? Might be more convenient for others? Wherever we meet will have to be fairly early in the day as a lot of car parks fill up mid morning.

Hi all,
I'd be up for a meet too, I'm flexible when and where - any excuse for a nice drive.

There's the park in central Yateley, where we've held the Yateley May Fayre and Motor Show and some of you had attended.
There is a small car park, and if that's full there's also lots of road parking around the green.

Selborne is on the B3006 Alton to Liss Road. There is a car park behind the Selborne Arms Pub and that leads to a large quiet overspill car park which would suit our purpose very well. I am happy with Tony's suggestion as well.

We must keep this down to six cars though in order to avoid breaking lockdown rules. I think we have four at the moment so two more maximum - FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

Ok. How is the date of Sunday 14th for everybody. Mark's venue of Selbourne sounds good to me as it gives us the best chance of being able to park up together and as far as I'm aware ( correct me if i'm wrong) it is around the same distance from home for the majority of people who want to attend ( might not be that local for you Stu but these meet up's have always been Hampshire based so it's you're fault for not living in Hampshire   .)

All of the above is said in the context that although I started this thread that in no way makes me a decision maker when deciding when, where etc etc so its up to everyone to decide on what's best for all and I'll go along with whatever the group agree on. It'll just be nice to get the car out, go for a drive and meet up for a chat.

If you mean my previous red one, I sold it a few months ago. However, I heard that the chap I sold it to has decided that he now wants to sell it
