Right, booking form for car passes and wristbands has been completed. Could those who have agreed/volunteered to show cars, please email me ASAP - angus.marshall@lotusexcel.net - so I can pass on relevant info. as/when it arrives.

Also - any volunteers to help crew the stand, please get in touch. Some of the usual suspects are taking a well-earned rest this year.

I'm a bit confused on this yrs aim for the stand. Are we supporting elites and eclats specifically? ( which imho think we should). Im on a phone at the mo and it's a bugger reading 2mm high threads if i missed something.

We have space for 4 cars. I think we have an early Excel, an Eclat and 2 Elites volunteered. The Elite 45th (45th of all the 4-seat wedges) is in our entry in the show guide and there will be some relevant material on the stand. BUT, there are some bigger anniversaries (Mini 60th in particular) which will get a lot more attention.

My aim is to have a less "cluttered" stand this year so visitors can see the cars properly.

Does this imply that you have all the cars that you need for the stand?

Is there any news on which cars and volunteers have been selected, so those involved can plan accordingly?

Based on the cars Angus has listed I’m assuming Lilith hasn’t made the cut. I’m still keen to man the stand for a day, or more if needed.

Right - finally got confirmation that the restoration project Elite is available. So - we have the promised 4 cars booked in.

I'm on the road most of this week, but will try to start sending emails from various hotel rooms.

Exhibitors should now have an email from me with assorted passes and rules & regs. Once I've received replies from them about how many wristbands and parking passes they need, I'll be in a position to sort things out with the other volunteers.

Just a little 'off' lotus topic maybe when volunteers on the stand need to stretch their legs at the NEC for a short time they might be interested to go over to the Meguires stand. My son, although he has followed closely Lola's restoration to date his own interest is VW air-cooled. He has his latest project on the stand (a '49 beetle) which won Volksworld this summer. Some of the engineering modification work is very impressive although maybe I am a little biased!!

And if I don't hear from them by the end of this week, I may be forced to look for others to fill in their places since I'll be forced to assume they're not attending.

If I've already received a reply from you - you're fine, but if I haven't - you have another email from me today.

Lileth is still available if there’s space on the stand to fill.

The more notice I can have to get time off work the better... winning both world championships doesn’t seem to result in any let-up on the workload around here!

And the last naughty child has checked in.

Unfortunately, there are no spare passes this year.

Apologies to those who offered to help with the stand. Your offer is appreciated.
