If anyone is planning a weeks trip in the peak district around these dates then I would highly recommend the Hope motor show, which is on the 26th ( Hope is near Castleton and Edale and is a stunning area ). This is an evening show and is very informal and held on a field at the side of a fine drinking hole. Its run by the Hallamshire motor club which is heavily involved in rallying and racing so the range of cars attending is wide. They also have a barbi going at the pub for burgers and stuff. Ive been going to it for many years and its a highlight of the year for me. Its 20 miles from Hartington thro some of the finest scenery and roads in the country. You have to prebook if you want your car on the display field and I dont think the entry is open yet, but if you do want to do it book early cos the 250 places go quickly. It officially starts at 6pm and stops when it starts to go dark at about 10pm, but I would plan to get there at about 5pm because its highly attended as its not that far from Sheffield.
By the way, any chance of anyone joining you all for dinner one night of the weekend, Im not stopping cos its not that far from where I live but it might be nice to join you.

May be worth others checking with the hotel, the last think needed is people turning up and no accommodation

Checked ours an we are definitely booked, apparently it helps if you give them the correct dates to check Jerry ??

The most scenic (over the Peaks like last year) and hopefully a start location near the Hotel. Did medium pace last year and that was plenty spirited enough for me. Foot to the floor at times and Carol doing her usual slidey stuff on the leather seats. Great fun trying to keep up with two Evoras.

I haven't done it before. Where do most excels start from ?

Ashbourne or Baslow and what pace?
The Lotus Eclat, a lot like the English Whisky company: comes from Norfolk and better than you are often told it is.

Generally we go medium but beware that is a spirited drive and will involve some foot to the floor.
All the runs are new this year.
Are you staying over and if so where, as you are probably aware there are a regular group of 11 ( including the most Human of us Bonnie the dog) go each year and hotel in the same location and make a weekend of it. U are welcome to join us.

I will suggest our group as we are staying at the Charles cotton hotel should book Ashbourne run.
