No real news yet - we've confirmed our attendance to the organisers, but I'm concerned that the further restrictions being proposed by the Govt starting next week will be problematic. We just have to wait until the organisers can assess the situation.

Cheers, Richard

Ian Mills has commented on the Facebook page, asking if we'd like a Barn Find Elite on the stand?

I assume he must be a member on this forum to be allowed onto our facebook group, but I don't know what his username here is.

Hi Richard

The Facebook group and this forum are, unfortunately, separate and I'm not a member. Could you ask Ian Mills to contact me and/or register on the forum? We probably have the space and anyway it would be good to have a reserve. I'll pm you with my email address later on.

Cheers, Richard

There are two Facebook groups, one open to anyone, one that’s supposed to be restricted to members of this forum (Angus is/was a moderator and approved new members). Ian posted to that group, so he should be around here somewhere...

Anyway, I’ve responded and hopefully he’ll be in touch one way or another.

A message from Lee Masters, NEC Classic Car Show Director

It is with great sadness that I announce to you today that we have decided there is no alternative but to postpone the 2020 edition of the show, despite pulling out all the stops to try and make the annual season finale happen.

Well, I guess that's that then :( Thank you Richard and all others for your efforts in trying to get us to the show.

Fingers crossed for the NEC restoration show in March - my car is a much better candidate for the ethos of that show anyway!

I guess with the way things are going at the moment it was inevitable.
From tomorrow it would even be illegal for me to go at the moment 😱
Let’s hope for a better year next year and I’m happy to support next year’s stand.

That's a shame, but I guess the way things are going, it was becoming increasingly predictable.
Takes the pressure off needing to get a pass for the cars imminent MOT.

Thanks to all for the efforts to get us represented. Definitely up for assisting at the Restoration show.

Just got in and seen the announcement - yes it is a shame. I just hope the organisers manage to stay in business; anyone in events is having a tough time - a company I know in AV system rentals has more or less been shut since March.

Anyway thanks to all who volunteered cars and time for the event; let's hope 2021 will see a full recovery in activities.

Cheers, Richard

I also got the email today. Sad but not surprising with the recent news. In fact, the way scientists are talking about timescales for vaccines, the Practical Classics Restoration show may have to be delayed but I hope not. I will be willing to help whenever it is.
What car is that?
