Re: Silverstone Classic 22/23/24 July 2011
Great to meet up with Chris and Rachel. The new camping facilities at Silverstone are second to none. Three brand new permanent shower blocks with showers that are clean and work! Miles better than the portacabin style they had for the F1 last year. As Chris says, the bands at night were very good. We saw Bob Marley, Queen. Rolling stones, Wishbone Ash, 10CC and Suzi Quatro! Ok – the first three were tribute bands but a good evening’s entertainment. On track were F1 cars pre 1966 and post 1966, group C endurance racing including a pair of Silk cut Jags, an E Type challenge, and pre 1956 sports cars. The most entertaining was under 2 litre touring cars with a lot of on track action – needless to say Lotus Cortina’s came 1st and 2nd.
Angus – Got the message regarding pictures. I am sorting them out plus 30mins of shaky video. Watch out for the girls in Hot pants!!

Sorry the fencing got in the way in some of the action pictures but modern circuits don’t allow you close enough to the fence to put it out of focus. Unless you have a professional photographers pass your knackered.
I will get to work on the video!!

OK - At last the first 15 mins of the 30 mins of video is uploaded
Click this http://youtu.be/-KHHTz18aEM
I have been trying to upload this since Monday but it took so long I kept running out of time. Tonight I had to kick the kids off their X boxes and Face books to help increase the upload speed. They actually came out of their rooms and spoke to me and Lynne
Must try this again sometime
Will upload the 2nd 15 mins when I get a chance
