LITP 2025

Post by MetBlue »

Sunday June 29th is confirmed as date for this year's Lotus In The Peak
As previous, a number of us are planning on using The Manifold as a base for the weekend. Clare and I already booked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Always a good weekend. Join us if you can. You won't regret it

I don't think MLOC have opened the bookings yet for the runs etc, but I'll keep a look out.

Tony

Sharon and I are coming to LITP for the first time this year :) We've booked the Manifold Inn for the Friday and Saturday nights.
What does the agenda for the weekend normally look like? Tony mentioned needing to book onto the runs?

Looking forward to having you join us.

Friday - arrive as you want. There’s normally a BBQ organised by MLOC. Depending where that is located it will either be book for that or book table at Manifold for evening.
Saturday morning MLOC normally organise a pootle in the peak. Start point and destination published when all info available - this is free, but need to book a place direct on MLOC forum (have to have booked tickets for Sunday first). This leaves at a sensible time allowing time for breakfast. Last 2 years have finished at The Great British Car Journey - well worth a visit if not been before, and they have a special Elite on display.
Sunday - main event. Early start, so not able to get breakfast at Manifold. We normally book on the classic run - slower and shorter with slightly later start time.
Run is split into groups of ten with a leader from MLOC.
There will be a breakfast stop - normally pre book what you want. From there it’s a run en mass to the final destination for lunch and the afternoon. Picnic lunch boxes can be pre booked as not always other catering available nearby.
Tends to wind up around 4 and then head off to wherever you want to.
