I'm sure I've seen F747 on the A66 heading out of 'Boro/Stockton/Yram area on a few occasions - usually when I'm on the way in to work. His road tax is due on 1st April and the car was first registered in 1989 (looooove that online vehicle check )

That's the one Dave. I've got into the habit of using it to check that the car I spotted was what I actually thought it was, especially the ones at night - some Pugs look awfully like Elises
The real reason it exists is because of all the vehicle "cloning" that goes on. With a simple free check, a buyer can make sure that the registration at least matches the vehicle make and gets some additional basic data so they can check the paperwork.
