New owner 1988 Excel

Post by mk2zetec »

Evening all
My wife recently bought a red '88 excel at auction - its a lovely thing Red with cream leather/cloth, adjustable suspension, stainless exhaust. It drives really well - quite astonished at how well a big set of carbs works! I'm sure there will be some niggles that need rectifying in due course. I'm a regular contributor to Practical Performance Car magazine and expect there will be some coverage but its certainly not one that will be seeing any track or performance modifications.
Any based around the north west?
regards
rich

Congratulations to your wife on the purchase. Looked like a nice car in the advert.

Here's to many happy years together (for you and the car and you and the wife, of course :D ).
What car is that?

Hi Rich,
I was at the auction and watched it go, I thought the bidding was quite strong. I didn`t see the winning bidder tho. Happy spannering.
What do you call the northwest, there are some out there.

Hi Rich
I very nearly went to the auction as I'm after an Excel myself.
I'm near Blackburn.
Cheers
