
Just bought a semi dismantled Excel.. What could go possibly go wrong!

OK it is now has MOT and is Taxed. 
Next set of problems appear to be carb or ignition related.. the cars idle isn't bad, but its not great and at steady speed or gentle acceleration it feels lacking in power. Not so gentle acceleration is much better. (Bear in mind it is now 'running in' ) It might be running lean but currently the choke cable is decoration rather than functional or I would pull it out slightly to check this, and ignition has yet to be dynamically checked
I do have a good 180PSI compression give or take 3 PSI
