Re: NEC Restoration Show - 22-24 March 2024

I have a similar confession, having said my Elite is available for future NEC shows if wanted (again), I am now not returning from a skiing trip until late on the 23rd March so it's not really available for that one.

Re: Dash refinishing

I do agree, compared to my 45 years and counting with a 'real (ply then burr walnut veneer) wood' one in the +2, using the Elite all this week, it does let it down somewhat in what is overwise is quite a nice place to be. How were you going to create the switch 'labels'? Where I worked this week, in...

Re: 74 Elite wiring improvements

Left it all as it was, I don't think it has been messed with previously ... it all seems to be working out and about all this week in it, plenty of miles at night. Does it make the 'headlight flash' operate????

Green Eclat (Mathewsons Restoring Classics garage)

Seen this one on TV a few times, Bangers and Cash Restoring Classics outside a garage / restoration shop, not always in exactly the same place / orientation - but this time the reg. number is not pixelated out (so one for the register if not already ?) https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=8917EC8D0...

Saw (didn't buy it) this in an 'antiques centre' - Whitemoor near Bosworth, Nuneaton yesterday (in the Elite) https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=8917EC8D03BBD259%21446&authkey=%21APOtbIPuZM5unoM&width=3024&height=4032 https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=8917EC8D03BBD259%21447&authkey=%21ABWUxox...

Re: Register of potential show cars

Hi Richard, my Elite is generally available but of course was used at the NEC Nov. last year so you may not want to repeat show it for a while there....Thinking though 'restoration show', I could replace the front trunnions as I have a new pair to go on sometime, and / or remove the bumpers for some...

Re: Boot Floor Missing Bracket

You could also look into 'phenolic' board. This is used on trailer beds that are exposed to damp over long periods of time, also in the light commercial van conversion business for false floors, shelving etc, again because it is stable and resistant to moisture warping / delamination.

Re: Vinyl roofs and repairs

Okay so with the Sprint and Hill Climb season finished, some time to update on the Elite vinyl roof repairs. I continue to be convinced that CT1 makes for a durable long term repair material. The challenge is getting the 'leather grain texture' into it. As previously mentioned I purchased a silicone...

Offham (near Maidstone, Kent) annual vehicle show

500ish vehicles, low key, no pre registration or reserved spaces, lovely village, pub, live music, great weather made for great atmosphere yesterday. The only LGT, one other Winterbottom wedge (Tasmin). Some of the photos from 'Absolute Lotus' Elite article (Feb / March 22) were taken in the village...
