Re: Airbox trunking

https://flic.kr/p/zoK7EY Bracket https://flic.kr/p/zoK1rA Trunking Mine was replaced with some specific induction noise reduction trunking which goes all the way to the LH side of the radiator. Looks like a knitted elephant's trunk. Have since fitted a second one of the ebay sourced radiator fans.

Got drafted in for that one last year with our eldest and two friends.

Be prepared for the big traffic jam of hired limo's, classic cars, tractors, buses............

Re: Door beams

Thanks for the replies. Not had a chance to strip the door yet but the feedback is making me more open minded about possible repair rather than assuming replacement.

Door beams

Whilst working in the driver's footwell with the door open, the door has dropped significantly and will no longer close. It now won't open fully either.      Assuming that the door beam is toast, are there any specific gotchas to be wary of when stripping down or...

Re: EFI base maps

Thanks Jerry. It will be an interesting exercise to compare a few maps while I'm waiting for my ECU to arrive....

I'm currently pulling Richard's map into the Emerald software to make comparisons possible in a common format.

Re: EFI base maps

Thanks for the offer Richard. I'll e-mail via the forum, hopefully that allows you attach the file by return. I downloaded the DTA software and it looks like it should be reasonably easy to generate an Emerald equivalent as Emerald software allows configuration of TPS% and RPM sites to make the same...

EFI base maps

I'm currently starting an upgrade to my Lumenition ignition/injection ECU due to not being able to access the mapping (even Lumenition can't access it as it requires a 1993 vintage Psion computer). Based on previous good experience with other cars, Emerald K6 ECU is the way forwards; just in case I ...

Re: Original Radio Cassette Player

Having removed a highly original looking, (but no longer functioning), Blaupunkt 'Denver' from my car it seems possible that there was some flexibility on the listed models.

Is there any indication that the steering rack could have been changed on your vehicle? For one with a greater stroke perhaps?

Re: Glorious Goodwood

There was a red Excel on Speedlines in the supercar paddock at the recent Goodwood FOS. Spotted from a distance as we walked back to the car. Looked like a LHD car on white Euro plates (maybe French or Italian?).

Re: Trigger wheel / pick up bracket

Apologies for resurecting an old post, but Mr Locust's comment has intrigued me. Can I ask which system you are driving with the distributor-originating signal? My setup is fully mapped fuel and ignition with a Lumenition with C451 ECU. Original install appears to have been by QED. The distributor ...
