Best bang for buck has to be Dave Ryders suggestion-fitting Ngk BPR7EIX plugs. I changed from BPR6EY's and its hard to believe how much the driving characteristics have changed.I'd say 80% of low end hesitation has gone ,now much smoother and easier going up the rev range.Feels like a proper Lotus :...

didn't mean to appear rude in not replying earlier-I've only just returned
from a trip abroad.

I simply removed the rear speaker and managed to get an arm down the trim to retrieve the plate.
Its a bugger trying to blindly line up the plate for fitting-ended up using a spot of silicone to tack in place.This didn't interfere with alignment later on.

On my '89 SE no underseal.
Black stoneguard applied to wheelarches and rear mudflaps only.

One can only speculate.
