Re: Riviera
The seller reckons it could do with a repaint at some point. They either have very high standards, or the photos are lying, it looks pretty damned good to me! That’s the problem with photos and paint. It may look great in a photo from 10’, but could still be covered in micro blister or have other p...
Re: Riviera
Saw that and went ooooohhhhh!
The bit about the roof worries me a little.
I recall another black riviera Eclat for sale last year with roof problems - not sure it’s the same one

Re: Hinge bush upgrade
How would us driveway bodgers accurately ream the tube? Would it be a case of finding an engineering company or is there a diy alternative? Hand reamer with screw-on pilot. The pilots are tapered and slide so adjustable effectively. Pete Cheers Pete, that sounds like a good option. Are there any sp...

The longer bushes mean the alignment is more critical. You could do the job on a pillar drill, if you can come up with some way of aligning the tube. A long rod in the drill chuck to align the bottom spigot would do it, but you'd sill have to have some was to make the spigots. Thanks, I had a pilla...

Re: New comer - Progress (edit)
Is the torque converter being rebuilt as well ? I know these have a lock up clutch - is it being replaced due to wear? I had to replace a torque converter for this reason on a Mercedes SL. Found a place in Bristol that specialised in this, but was going to cost !!! Ended up with a low mileage used o...

Re: Rear seat belt brackets - SS
So where is this other one to be found? I thought I had rusty seat belt mounts covered :D Place head under wheel arch and look up and forwardish. It’s the one that the bracket the rear seatbelt reel mounts to then bolts through to this bracket under the “parcel” shelf. A question for Stu - the part...

Re: Steering stiff
I will need new top ball joints as the seals have rotted. Note the car has hardly been used for over 25 years before I bought it, and drives ok. If it’s still got the original upper ball joints and it’s just the rubber boots that have split, I would check for any play and if all good, repack with g...
