Re: Excel - My new daily Driver
You are going to have to store the images somewhere on the Internet (cloud) to post the link here. If you are running Windows 10 or later - you already have a cloud storage option right from your PC. You do need to activate OneDrive on your PC - which uses the same Microsoft login that you use to lo...

Re: Last production Elite
I have a picture somewhere of an A registered Elite in a kind of burnt orange. It may have been used by Mike Kimberley - not sure, but it is a Norfolk registration. This is the one. https://am3pap004files.storage.live.com/y4m8Jun9kZ6VaLjaaKPGPL54BOMnBb4Qj7t4_UZiz4Hk9VIluKqgkNXwV8ZDEGYGH8tywTWyQsSDt...

Re: excel fuel gauge
All my VDO gauges (except the rev counter) are very fluttery - especially when I compare them to the rock solid Smiths gauges in my Esprit.
I've added a GPS HUD (driven from my phone) for when I drive longer journeys as I can never be 100% sure what my actual speed is.

When I bought by Excel, the belt had been changed 3000 miles earlier - 15 years previously.

Re: Lotus Excel Parts List
I suspect that this may be a leaked copy of the parts list sold by our administrator to help over the costs of running the site. I don't think that it is, as the one for the Excel is a straight forward PDF of a scan/photocopy - There are Illustrated parts manuals for 32 models in total in the EE we...

Re: 83 Excel from from Finland
Congratulations on the purchase, it's a good combination - Esprit & Excel.
Re: New Lotus
I went to look at the "4 seater" Evora when my kids were 9 & 6.
I bought an Excel instead - which they can still (just) get into today at 16 & 13.

Hi Duncs
Welcome. I agree with Tony as regards the jet wash as a good place to start.
Don't try to start the engine without replacing the belts.
We do like pictures here.

Re: excel newbie
Look forward to meeting some other Lotus nuts in the future if there are any meets or events within 150 miles of Thame (Oxfordshire) . You did say 150 miles. There's a breakfast this Sunday at North Weald airfield - see the end of this thread: https://www.lotusexcel.net/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11313
