Re: Lotus in the Peak 2024

OK - not much better than last year. They already have 2 large parties booked. The best they can do is 7.45 so I have booked that. For a large party, 11 of us, they require a deposit of £3 per person so I have paid that. Also, when the summer menu comes out, they need food orders up front. When i ge...

Re: Lotus in the Peak 2024

If nobody has booked a table for Saturday night I will book one tomorrow.

We have the same 9 people as last year plus Andy and Maria. Just waiting to hear from Kev and Claire - I have PM'd Kev
So that is 11 people. Is 7pm OK if I can get it?

I would say get your towel on the sun bed. As you say, you can back out later without any cost.

Re: NEC Restoration Show - 22-24 March 2024

Took some pictrures at the show yesterday (Friday). Didn't bring my tripod and the light was a bit dull but here is what I took. Very busy on Friday morning as you can see from the pictrures. https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=c879f1a1772c751b%21150098&authkey=%21AL_ryM9olWVy0Vo&width=3449&height...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

OK - Tony on Friday. Richard W has agreed not to attend Friday, so that Phil can have a wristband, and Richard will pass the merch to Tony to bring in on Friday morning. Phil - I'm putting you in for Friday at the moment, but if you'd rather come a different day that's fine, just let me know in adv...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

Many thanks for all your offers to help - in the end there were a few more offers than wristbands, so Phil - thanks for you offer but this time we'll let you off, and Tony, I've put you down for Saturday only (but you can swap to a different day if preferred). OK. No problem. Happy to let someone e...

Re: Battery

I got a Duracell in March 2015 - still going strong. I use the car twice a week all year. Don't own a conditioner but do use a battery isolater switch.

Re: Door lights

I had the same problem when I bought my car in 2007. The door card wasn't pushing the switch in far enough. I glued a piece of packing to the back of the door card where the switch makes contact and all has been well since.

Re: Another timing belt question

I use an Krikit gauge - much cheaper and widely available. The ever reliable and thorough Tim Engel did a comparison, posted on this post on Pistonheads , you need about ~52 on the Krikit scale. I printed off Tims advice regarding Cam belt tension many years ago and still refference it today. But i...
