Re: 17" wheels

I would be happy for these to go back on the car if possible. It will need it for the torque.

Re: Exhaust-modify or not?

My experience: Nothing is perfect: - SJS standard system is expensive, shockingly bad quality and not a great fit without serious adjustment. Corrodes really quickly. Barely should be classed as stainless. - Removed the centre box, ever so slightly louder, more likely to go quicker due to less weigh...

Re: Lotus Elite/Eclat Riviera Bonnet

Finally got hold of him. He had been deliberately ignoring me until I shouted loud enough. A lot on his plate.
The bonnet would be in fibreglass not carbon fibre.
He hasn't given me a price yet but he has said the earliest would be mid summer, so by that I would guess July.

Re: Lotus Elite/Eclat Riviera Bonnet

Hi. I will try again later today but I can only assume he is offshore currently as I'm not getting any response back from him.
I want him to respond as I need one myself.

Cheers

Re: Lotus Elite/Eclat Riviera Bonnet

I might be able to help here....
There is a batch being produced in carbon fibre.
I can enquire as to the breakdown cost for adding another to the production.

Re: Early Iron cross speedlines set of 4. 48hour warning.

Now gone live. The iron has been very hot recently as I am moving forward with things.
Anyone on here still has 24 hours as an ad can easily be pulled.

Cheers

Early Iron cross speedlines set of 4. 48hour warning.

Righty ho chaps. As part of the continued clearout, I have a set of 4 early iron cross speedlines. They could do with a refurb to make perfect but there aren't many of these around so make your own choices. I am posting this here first due to the rarity. Keep them in the club first and foremost. The...

Probably the fork lift through the roof as the shell looked reasonably tidy.

Re: Anti theft

Its a lot easier to disable a car with fuel injection.
2 key ones where you can disable at will with no harm - Fuel pump and crank position sensor.

CPS disconnect renders the engine useless.

Re: Alternator on the way out again?

That's toast. 0.8 ohms for a braided cable is actually quite high for a braided cable especially if you have zeroed the multimeter to remove the resistance of the multimeter wires. The crimp mating faces looks pretty dirty as well. The cables in the link aren't particularly thick. WHEN IT COMES TO E...

Re: Alternator on the way out again?

The alternator should be voltage regulated. The output should never be above 14.5v as this damages the battery cells. The voltage should remain stable and the current should be what fluctuates depending on demand. This would suggest 1 of 2 things still. Bad earth - The zero volt reference point is n...

Re: Alternator on the way out again?

Is that a yes to the inline resistor????

If so, it's probably the bridge rectifier on the alternator has packed up. Likely a diode has broken down.

Re: Alternator on the way out again?

Did you add a resistor inline with the bulb?
The LED will not draw enough by itself meaning the circuit only excites with a rise in rpm.
As the rpms drop the flux field drops out and the voltage becomes unstable.
