Ive replaced the park switch on the motor and repaired the previously heat damaged multi plug behind the cowling but still playing up. some days fine, most days not!

wiper module repair
My wiper module isnt working on intermittent. Its the earlier square type with lotus sticker on. i bought a "working" later flatter pektron type but that also hasnt got a working intermittent. Can anyone recommend a company who could overhaul/repair either or both modules?

Mine had a similar problem ages ago. The flap inside the heater box was stuck half open so i opened it fully and disconnected the cable. It now gets hotter than ever but takes ages to get cold as the matrix has to cool down but is cold after about 5 mins. The tap in the engine bay may well be stuck ...

mine is held onto the inner arch in the engine bay by a P clip and ends below the seam between top and bottom body joint.

Thanks for the offer but i managed to fix it this morning! a multi plug with 4 wires was burnt under the plastic steering column covers.

My wipers only work on fast and slow, and dont self park. changed parking switch on motor but no change.
Has anyone got the big square wiper delay module they dont want (The one with lotus sticker on) Not pectron type. unless its a straight swop!
Car is 86my.

When i repaired my motor, i left the spindle alone and just pulled the actuator rod out of the tube to the spindle. I think i undid the nut that holds the tube to the motor and pulled the motor complete with rod ( covered in grease) out.

The drain hole is shown as on the right side. You will need to remove the under tray. Otherwise try the lower hose on left side and flush with hose pipe from the otter switch. I never bleed mine or had an issue when swapping the rad. Hopefully you wont either. On both my excels, there was a cut out...
