Re: NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show 27-29 March 2020

This year they only have part of Hall 3 designated 3A whereas last year they had all of Hall 3. This is quite a reduction in space.

Re: NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show 27-29 March 2020

As you know car clubs get into the show free but this depends on both commercial stand sales and ticket sales. In 2019 the show used all of halls 3, 4 and 5. This year it is only using part of Hall 3, a significant reduction in space. For the car club presence to grow it will depend on the rest of t...

Re: SU fuel pump

I have the SU electronic replacement. I kept the box and it has AZX130 8 EN on the sticker. This replacement behaves exactly the same as the original ...it stops ticking when the float chambers are full. No idea if 1307 is different (or wrong) but the 1308 is certainly the right one AFAIK and have ...

I replaced my hoses with Goodrich braided hoses some time ago. Replacing standard rubber hoses is worth considering.

Re: Brake Pad - Is there a good Upgraded Pad to use

Is something weird happening with these double posts?? Pete I think so. I submitted the post and got a no response. Stopped the post and hit restore and then the post was there twice. I have edited the second copy of my post as I couldn't delete it. The thread appears to have two versions as Pete h...

Re: Brake Pad - Is there a good Upgraded Pad to use

I have the larger front disks and calipers upgraded at Lotusbits with the original rear disks retained.
Mintex 1144 pads all round. Great improvement.

Re: NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show 27-29 March 2020

Given the relatively lukewarm interest in the show (with apologies to those who have volunteered their cars) it is probably wise not to attend this year. Whilst I appreciate the reasons for this Richard, I should warn you that it will be difficult to get back in in the future if we withdraw at this...

Re: The Future of the Club

The forum was set up to be free to use and should, in my opinion, remain that way. Many of us have contributed to the forum on that basis - help and support freely given - and newer owners or prospective owners have been able to gain information, and in due course contribute from their own experienc...

Sunshine at CarFest South

Oh what a contrast to the North event - hot sunshine. A total of 33 rides completed at the two CarFest events this year. https://pjqffg.sn.files.1drv.com/y4menVu_XhJMkjFuXNJXISMZGqS1KF82uZn0Gsgf-bYo7pZhtmQ0X7Y69U0sOYdBAHBtLD1UmQExKvEe78betvO8HPt2KYKsGuV_vY73mqQ2W2kfZ58fniJ9RWbcpEnOf-EZc80p2GqU_rG2Np...

Coca Cola did try to change the shape of the bottle some years ago. Apparently a straight bottle is cheaper to produce.
General outcry got that stopped.
