This website contains a map of camera locations: https://ulez.co.uk/ulez-camera-locations/
Don't take them all as gospel though and do a recce on your route - as I think that a new camera has been installed on one of my possible routes. Will have to double check though.

Re: ULEZ expansion 2023 have your say
I've created an account so that if I get caught in my Excel I'll know about it (hopefully the day I miss a new camera), and it will automatically pay for it - so I shouldn't receive a fine. I think I have worked out a couple of routes to avoid the cameras to a location just inside the ULEZ that I tr...

Re: Herts / Essex / Cambs Monthly meeting
I realise that no-one here has ever come to one of our monthly meetings - and I do keep forgetting to post up here. Our September meeting is a BBQ on Saturday 16th from 2pm onwards. I don't provide the location on an open forum - but it is close to Thaxted, Essex. There is an option to camp overnigh...

yup - but not as bad as when my wife was applying for citizenship, went from £250 to £950 overnight (2012ish). Not as if you can complain.

Hi Dwayne
You can get a fair amount of info about your car from Lotus themselves with a Certificate of Provenance
Whereabouts are you located?

Re: Last one (allegedly)
Hi Dwayne - Welcome to Lotus ownership. I wouldn't get too fixated about Service History as whether it had a stamp in the book in 2003 is a bit irrelevant today. My main priorities would be (and this goes for all Lotus cars). - How much has the car been driven over the past 5 years, more - good, les...

Re: Classic car insurance
I've been with FJ for almost every year since 1991 (when I bought my first Excel). Covers both my Esprit & Excel for 10k miles between them, including commuting for just over £300 a year. You need to check though what is covered as they changed the policy a few years ago so that non standard items w...

Re: Heated seats
I had a chat with Gerald at GST about this yesterday when dropping off my Esprit - he wasn't aware of fuse 29 & heated seats. He hasn't heard of it being fitted in a domestic Excel, but said maybe for a ROW vehicle - so anyone with a ROW Excel, do you have heated seats ?

Re: Grand Tourers Register
I noticed in one of the pictures, the blue Excel on the top right, reg no. F110ECK belongs to Jay Emm and can be seen on Youtube. Don. This was sold a fair while ago to another TLF member. He also had another Excel (white) - a V8 conversion. Pictures are no longer on TLF, so have no more info than ...

Re: Looking for an Excel
Looks like the car will need a major service with cam belt, last service seems to have been 2015 not many miles since though. I'd do that no matter what the car history says, so that you have a date that you know is correct. Tyres as well - maybe Mine was 16 years previous to purchase, but "only" 3...

Re: Looking for an Excel
I had a quote for £2.5k - but that was for a 1/2 leather replacement with a leather/alacantra mix. Same chap replaced my carpets, I never seem to be able to get around to it as other things get in the way. https://cartrim.webs.com/
