Has anyone had their car rolling road tuned and if so, what did it do for your car and how much did it cost / was it worth it?

Re: Monaco 2012 ?
I was reading an old issue of Top Gear today and there was a feature called 'Roads To Drive Before You Die' Featured was Le Viaduc De Millau. A few quotes to wet the appetite of anyone (like me)who's unfamiliar with the area: 'Soaring across one of those valleys superficially unconcerned by such dre...

Hi Guy, welcome to the forum. I've only had my Excel a short time and have already found the forum to be an excellent source of information and comradeship.

Re: Why modify when replacing with original is best?
At the end of the day we all have Lotus cars and all frequent the forum because we are car enthusiasts. Generally speaking, with enthusiasm comes passion and with passion comes strong opinions. I for one have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread and I think some excellent points (and counter point...

Re: new clutch slave, is there a bit missing?
Thanks Chris, I seem to recall a post where you said that replacing it cured the pedal 'creaking'. I'm hoping that replacing mine along with lubricating the pedal box with some lithium grease should help fix my creaky pedal.

Congrats Excel tel, must be a relief.
All I can think of apart from blockages is wear, can't see how it could be anything else.

new clutch slave, is there a bit missing?
I've just recieved from Brake Parts International a new clutch slave cylinder. There is no 'actuating rod' with it. Do I just use the old one or should this come with it. By actuating rod I mean the push rod that protudes from the cylinder and attaches to the clutch fork. I'm not planning on doing t...

Re: help aircon packed up
Thanks Andy, no its not the belt. So does removing and replacing the compressor release gas or is it released when the pump is dismantled?
Sorry if I'm being dumb, I'm really not up on the mysteries of aircon at all.

Re: help aircon packed up
Thanks Robertverhey. I've been searching the forum trying to learn a bit about air con and it does seem that the compressor may be the source of both problems. I'm presuming that the noise is the compressor (didn't realise it was only the pully that spins unelss the air con is on) and I'm also presu...

help aircon packed up
This is my fault for boasting on the forum recently 'everything works as it should'. Well it doesnt anymore :( Went for a 'spirited' drive this morning, didn't use the aircon at all. Got home and was sat in the car fiddling about with the engine ticking over and I started getting hot. Thought I'd sw...

Re: Rear Speaker
Nice installation Steve. 8) Do you happen to know the total size of your front speakers with the grill? I didnt think 5.25" speakers would fit as the grill normally adds at least another half inch. Yours look like they just about fit :D Also, how does the rear speaker trim panel (the bit you've reco...
