If the new gaiter is anything like a CV boot you may be able to just grease it up and slide it over.

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

I checked my tank today and noticed i made a mistake, the overflow is on the rear half not front. the openings are different sizes so my eared spring cap only fits on the front so ive got the round springless cap on the overflow rear end. seems odd but thats how its designed.

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

My caps are the one with the ears and spring on at front, round one with no spring at back. Then i suppose when the pressure gets too much, the spring rises allowing water to exit the overflow tube and down onto floor near rad.

Make sure the fan switch (otter) is the correct way up. I think the wires should be at the top or side on.

Hi. Its 20:50 , new Comma.
Needle waver is very slight
Thanks.
Thats fine then. Try cleaning the oil pressure switch connection just to make sure. When the needle does flutter next time give dial a gentle tap and see if it makes a difference.

Re: Cleaning the engine bay

I usually use washing up liquid mixed quite strong in a trigger bottle and spray where needed and use a tooth brush and alloy wheel brush.

... for now I'll just hook into the last good area and extend to the outside world... I did that. And each day I went a little further up the tube as each re-connect broke so I needed another. bite the bullet and go straight to the neck. Regarding the photo access, I was lying in the trunk legs dan...

You may have a point, i wonder if it is a way of telling you the battery is getting low and needs starting or charging? it does sound utter twaddle........but who knows.

Re: Late Excel SE - Search steps up. - Mission Accomplished.

I would get the speedo sorted ASAP. Sounds the same fault as mine (internal cogs for the tripometer were jamming also stopping mileometer recording which used to make my needle shoot around the dial at break neck speeds in trying to push past the little prong that the needle usually rests on until i...
