Re: THROBBING/PULSING

Having all 4 ports connected would be the ideal and although one does the job it would stop the pulsing and infamous dashboard knock. My vacume valve failed recently and I can tell you that with no servo its very difficult to stop the car. Bash Ps, Ive had a tablet now and calmed down, sorry if anyo...

Re: THROBBING/PULSING

I see your 50 'x's and raise it another 10. Personally I think its extemely brave to post anything on the internet that is headed throbbing and pulsing for obvious reasons, secondly almost everyone who is very knowledgable on this site has got a sense of humour and its one of the reasons that this s...

Re: The longest Elite Resto ? - probably

I filled my door beams with plumbers foam, it stops any more water getting inside it and makes it a composite structure adding strength.

Re: Cool cars we used to own

I havent got any photos but I also used to have an Imp... and two engines, one on the bench having a new head gasket was the usual reason but it was quicker to change the engine than change the head gasket in situ, undo a few pipes and cables, take the rear crossmember off and slide it out on a plan...

Re: Elite : Kaizen, those small manufacture changes.

ive got a couple of photo's showing the frame differences from Elite to Excel. the main differences are the length of the legs, not very adjustable holes for the mounts on the legs and an extra rear lower mount on the Elite. The excel frame is on top but dont take any notice of the boxed in lower fr...

Re: Cool cars we used to own

Heres another that I used to own, 390se, 275 bhp, 0 to 60 in 4.7 sec, 0 to 100 11.4 sec ( timed ). On the big TVR only trackday in this photo at Donington on the acceleration test it was over a second faster than any other TVR including a couple of tuscans. Back in the late 80s it was worth more tha...

Cool cars we used to own

Seeing as most of us have time on our hands Im sure we have all had former cars that were cool so how about a picture thread. I'll start it off with a Winterbottom....... Ive had numerous TVRs prior to the Lotus, but this is the purest one of his creations and are now quite rare, the Mk1 Tasmin hard...

Re: draft control (v27.2b !!!)

Cheers Pete. Ive not really looked at the Esprit style one in the flesh so I dont know the answer to that one, I just had some door seal rubber hanging about so I thought Id give it a try. Speaking of giving it a try, carefully cutting the rubber part off is time consuming and very trying. Anyroadup...

Re: draft control (v27.2b !!!)

I will post another picture at some point but the outer frame one fills all of the gap around the frame as it deforms so any water from the roof runs over the outside of the glass. No water got in during the recent monsoons and it passes a powerful hosepipe test with ease.
