Yep. Hopefully we will all find a nice place in Bakewell

Re: Elite Steering Wheel Options

I'd been wondering about the steering wheel as well. I'm fitting electric power steering and I though a slightly smaller wheel would work well with it but I have no idea about the design. I really like the Excel wheel. Pete Pete if you like the style of the Personal wheel fitted to later Excels you...

Jerry, Di, Carol and I are booked into Bagshaw Hall in Bakewell. There are still rooms available but from what I can make out they will get taken pretty quickly.

Re: Lotus in the Peak 2020 10th - 12th July

After a superfast Medium run in 2018 Claire and I opted to do the Slow run in 2019 and found it enjoyable. If I remember correctly I think the Classic run is a shorter route than the Fast, Medium and Slow runs. I've been refused the weekend off work so we'll not be able to make it to this year's ev...

Looks like Kev Jerry and Phil are all going to give the classic run a try this year. It starts at Hassop so Jerry and I are currently looking for a suitable place to stay.

Lotus in the Peak 2020 10th - 12th July

LITP 2020 tickets are now available from the MLOC store. For a change this year I'm considering doing the classic run. Ive done the intermediate runs in previous years and for the first two years it was great, fast enough to be exciting but not so fast that I was constantly struggling foot to the fl...

Re: Fitting drilled & grooved discs

Hi Hodders! Mintex 1144 pads offer more bite. In my opinion unless you plan on track use or really hard road use drilled and grooved discs are not necessary and on my car have proved to be a bit noisy. 4 pot calipers on the other hand are definitely worth considering as they give a more positive bra...

Re: W58 overhaul manual

Following on from the recent post about the maxi box, this is a link to a manual for the W58 gearbox. Note this is not from Lotus, so I don’t know if there are any differences, but thought it may be useful to someone. Brilliant Alan! That may be just what I'm looking for, and timely too :D Pete I d...

Re: Getrag/W58 comparison

I'm not sure what the problem was with my old box , my guess is that something was amiss with the selector rods. The bush I was talking about is a press fit on the bottom of the gear lever and this sits in a nylon (?) seat. The two parts come as a kit and are available from Toyota dealers for about ...

Re: Getrag/W58 comparison

The w58 can have a superb rifle bolt action but only if there are no worn parts. As you know Pete I swapped my gearbox as the gear change was sloppy and unfortunately something other than the easily changed delrin gear selector Bushes was wrong with it. I haven't driven a Getrag box but I cant see h...
