If I were to swap it would be for a brand new Evora but having said that I'd rather have my Excel fully restored with a Lotusbits 2.5 fuel injected engine. Yes a completely rebuilt perfect Excel Celebration , completely standard on the outside and interior ( apart from the steering wheel, gear knob...

I'd be surprised if you need new gears - it's the other bits on the shafts that often cause the problem - synchro/dog rings. Defo worth putting some very good synthetic oil in there as a starting point though - may just help the synchro rings engage more fully in the first place. Pete What are the ...
