Own an Elise fantastic car, but still thouroughly enjoy driving my Excel. previously owned an Elan Sprint and a Lotus Cortina. :) So you like Lotus then.....your in the right place. Welcome to the mad house. I've only driven an Elise once. Superb handling but I couldn't live with it as a daily car.

The accelerator pump nozles are much closer to the bellmouths of the carbs on the Dellorto than the Weber, with the result that splashback into the air filter can occur. If it was on the bottom edge, its theoretically possible that petrol could leak out on to the dizzy and cause a fire. Sorry if this is a grandma/egg sucking scenario :D Bloody hell.....
