Just got back from the Silverstone testing and then Oxfordshire shopping trip. Lotus ran very well and turned a few heads in in field parking area. Started today. Ran with the fans on mine running continiously for a good few months. It just reduces the running temperature (considerably). But guess that won't be much of an issue over the summer months. Remember, before electric fans and fiscous coupled they were generally on the water pump pully and hence cool...

I think it is the fact you are using engine power to turn the Aircon pump and carry the extra load, i was very sprised how heavy the pump was when i removed it. 10Kg on it's own, just posted one last week. Also, the pump clutch does engage until its... 1. switch one 2. Above the drop out rev limit....
