Don't know if you've had seats out before, but for some inexplicable reason the factory used conventional hex-head bolts which are a bugger to try and stop turning with the nut - particularly if the nut is well rusted to them, which of course it will be. One or two I could only remove by angle grin...

Both window motors replaced yesterday spacers made on the lathe. Todays job all the seats out ready for carpets to go in after head cloth for the second time gets replaced. and the re stitching of the top of the rear seats that may take a while. still have not found where the plastic spacer is of on...

Both front seats and maybe easier with rear seat bases out, but you could probably work around. Likewise the centre tunnel trim, but that's not difficult to remove. Tony so you don't need to take the radio panel out does the centre tunnel lift out around the radio unit when you remove the rear two ...

carpet replacement

I have the dash out to fix the wiper motor and the heater controls how much more trim do i have to remove to fit the coverdale carpets.

water pump repair kit

That was fun still got to get it back in yet but thanks for the help yes it was the switch i had a new old stock wiper motor so i pinched one out of there all works fine just got to get it back in its place deep deep under cover LOL.

Hi Andy, Yes it is a wire wound 68 ohm resistor and would have a damping effect. Ensure the tank is well grounded and the float is not perforated. Tom Well this is the answer i got from my electronics guru inside the gauge is a resistor and if that fails the needle has no damping and will jump about...

That all sounds strange to me the fuel gauge never used to dance about when i first had the car so something is up somewhere . remember i have had this car from new and it was fine for years. So i cannot except they all do it they may when they are a few years old i shall investigate more. andy

I didn't know it was a fault? Just no damping in the electrical reading? I have taken all the dash out as the heater air con controls have all sized up this has happened before a trick i have learnt over the years slide some plastic tube over the control cables put some locking wire over the new bit of pipe and wind away until it closes up on the outer control cable then...
