Two have now been sold. One left.
Any takers on the forum before I put an advert on Ebay ?
£50 collected or courier at cost (don't know how much that would be yet.
Cheers

Re: Oz wheels - very good condition
Thanks Jeff, much appreciated. The wheels can be used straight off, the scratches are very slight and aren't really visible when the wheels are on the car. They've only covered about 15,000 miles since being bought and fitted to the car. Very straight and free from damage. I've had great fun with th...

Oz wheels - very good condition
I have just sold my Excel and have no need for the 3 Oz wheels which I was keeping. These were bought by a previous owner in December 2001 from Bell & Colvill who looked after the car at that time. They were fitted to the car when I bought it. The spare was an original Speedline which I wanted to re...

Re: Leaky door seal fix
I think vaseline isn't good with rubber......... Like you, I used 4mm thick, 10mm wide closed cell adhesive foam on my passenger side after Lotus Bits replaced the hinge and repaired the frame. The addition of the foam has stopped all wind noise. I have used silicone grease which doesn't rot rubber ...

Re: Remove rear lights? And renew silvering?
I've always wanted to fit a flush mounted led brake light into the rear lip of the spoiler. as per Ian Gotts Excel....here http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh597/Excel-DWH/Lotus%20Excel/Ian%20Gotts.jpg Ideally the LED could be wider and more "flush". Has anyone else gone down this route ? Cheers

Re: Remove rear lights? And renew silvering?
I would second the use of cree LED bulbs. Made a very significant difference to my rear lights. G401 JOM by side of A14
I saw the above Excel (green in colour) on the side of the A14 in Suffolk just passed the on slip from Kentford heading East towards Bury St Edmunds, today at about 10am.
I couldn't see anyone with the car and I was unable to stop to investigate further.
I hope everything is OK with car and owner ?

Front calipers and new seal kit
These are the front calipers from my Excel. I had intended to simply replace all the seals and re-use them. I ended up buying new calipers and so the old ones and the brand new seal kit (only opened to take the photo) is for sale. Threads are fine and the bleed nipples are loose and undamaged. I'm a...

Re: Plywood bits inside the nose.
Thanks Kevin
I've PM'd Brian (B.Swankie) to see if he's still able to supply. If not I'll be in touch.
Thanks

Re: Plywood bits inside the nose.
Sorry to dredge up an old thread but there are lots of mentions of full size tracings of the plywood panels. Does anyone have the actual size plans that I could use please ? Also, are the plywood panels accessed after removing the fibreglass shields under the nose in front of the radiator ? How easy...

Which thread for brake union on caliper
Continuing to put the front brakes back together. I need to replace the brake union for the metal pipe to the caliper, and remake the short pipe.
Does anyone know what thread the unions should be ? It looks like M10 fine thread (M10 x 1.25) but would like to make sure I order the correct ones.
Thanks
