Re: Air con connectors

got you. I now have the right angle convertors, but have not as yet looked into moving that plate. I did get one of the top up air con kits from ebay, and had a go on my wifes car as a practice today and it worked (very easy access). First I put in the leak stopper, then the top up gas to the max. I...

I will need to assess all hazards and put in place control measures before I start. From memory, only certain types of goggles are suitable (uvex) for this type ...

Sounds like all is not lost, and quite fancy the challenge of getting ac running again. couple of questions: the condenser, are these robust or can they degrade over time? is the excel one well protected? The one in my merc w124 is known for being vulnerable to road debris. Oil t...

Re: Fan fail stays on

Both my excels are 1990, and both have the smooth case with the grommet, should they be threaded....is there any difference in the switch, or could I change to the threaded metal hose section (seams like a better version, and switches are cheaper and easier to change...) I robbed peter to pay paul, ...

I shorted the two connectors to the back of the otter switch, both fans came on, one made a hell of a noise, have replace with a mk1 fiesta...smaller fan...(red) but works ok... Now it gets interesting/ confusing......

Re: Fan fail stays on

Actually Mr Black Flag, that's a great call and cost effective...the excel I am working is nice condition, so worth making the effort to keep standard, I do have another which could provide the parts to keep it standard, and up grade the scrappy one with the fans you suggest... I think as both mine ...
