Re: 7 Pin Hazard switch

The later ones (collumn and indicator stalks) are coming from Toyota (Sunny etc.) not sure about your version, but I would guess BL / Austin.

Welcome!
The Excel was never imported to the States officially.

Re: oil pressure gauge

yes, speedo is cable driven. Does it read the speed correctly?
The oil gauge is supposed to go to max if the iginition is turned on and should go to the correct reading if the engine is running.
Check the cables at the oil sender, which sits under the airbox.

km/h speedo for a 1988 SE wanted (VDO)

I think I have killed my speedo last night attempting to clean / repair it... :( Has anyone a speedo available that he / she would be willing to part? The damaged part is the driveshaft (won't turn properly) , so even if you have a broken MPH one with a working driveshaft, I might be able to use the...

Re: Fitting keyless entry to '87 SE

I know this question was posted ages ago. But I just finished the job last night! :D So if you want to fit a keyless entry (with or without car alarm / immobiliser) using the existing CDL setup: The control unit has to provide a minimum 5 second signal to the actuators to work properly. My car alarm...

Re: Head light reflectors on late model

The headlight reflectors on my Celebration model are beginning to corrode - does anyone have any experience in fixing these? Any guesses where they come from? I gather that Lotus themselves have discontinued them, is that right? Just a quick fix: In order to pass MOT I have painted the 'corroded' p...

I see on the pic that you are using those trumpet air filters, are they any good compared to the stock setup?

BTW, I would be interested in the hose set if it is in the 100-150 quid range...
