White SE on 83 this morning B9 TYP

Nice to see one in use. :D

Thought about waving but it would have been embarrassing as I had just picked up my sons new Beetle and it needs a bit of "butching up" first

Re: G99??? Red SE in Morden yesterday

Red leather in a green car is traditional Lotus racing colour scheme (before the sponsor colour schemes started). Jim Clark's type 25 below - red leather in green car.] Hi Alan, how's the "black" beast going? Any idea who the owner is of the Red Excel. Been "spotted" a few times by others on...

2 at TLF meeting at Brooklands today

One BRG and one red. Both with lotusexcel.net 25 yr stickers but not cars I recognised from my time on here. :D

Looking good, shame about the weather though.

Re: Goodwood Breakfast Club

I think they were keeping it to 1 car of a type on track (unless you were in a McLaren), but let people in the back later when they ran out of parking (Tony). There's another guy locally who has an identically specced car to mine (other than his is an "S"), who beat me there and got the track spot s...

Saw your car Tony, and Garry's. both still looking good.

I assume Shaun's was in the car park. If it's the one I saw it's mighty nice.

Re: allegedly unreliable lotus thats actually reliable

A Saab 93 TiD - 2007. Company car from new, 3 years old and 45K miles. From memory and I now there were other minor things: 2 new DPFs (breakdowns) 2 passenger seat sensors (control the seat belt warning system) Rear doors leaked and kids got wet every time it rained. Repaired 3 times and froze shut...

Re: Goodbye but I'll be watching

Hi Alan,

I've posted a few times, but check in quite frequently.

Am planning on coming to Donington this year, so if there is a stand will obviously pop over.

BTW, sorry, didn't mean to hijack thread!

Re: Goodbye but I'll be watching

I'm a lurker too, 3 years now!!

BTW my neighbour has one of those, so a word of advice - if the battery goes flat don't shut the door until you get the windows reset.

White H*** BTU on M20 late this morning

Looked good, too good, missed the exit for the M26 because I was looking at it. Thought it might have been Angus back from a Euro jaunt, but didn't recognise the driver. For anyone who remembers me (and is interested) am hoping to be back in a Lotus soon so may be seeing you again. Currently ...

Phew - glad it was just that again - both of us that got caught out there then. Thanks for kind words about the CLK. Drove it 90 of the 100 miles home on motorway, stopped to put the roof down. Drove 2 more miles and stopped to put it back up again as the heavens opened!! As you will see I decided t...

Re: FIL found a new home !

  AAAARRRGGGGGHHHHH very embarrassing (this is more stressful than actually owning the car). 5 years and the only breakdown I ever had was when I pulled off the fuel pump wires by accident putting the boot floor back in. (you might want to check that if you have had the boot floor out - ...
