Re: Prices on the up.

Blimey it's a nice looking late model car but even for a dealer £17k seems a tad ambitious. Having said that good luck to him

Re: Instument panel lights out

Thanks for your help chaps, all OK again.

I had replaced fuse no.13 "Instruments" and not fuse no.9 "Panel Lamps". Fuse no.9 was blown.

Top tip - when consulting the handbook read it properly !

Instument panel lights out

Just wondered if anyone has come across this problem before. The bulb in my oil pressure gauge had failed which I established by swapping the bulb with one from an adjacent instrument. I turned the lights off, fitted a new bulb and switched the lights back on to find all of the instrument bulbs were...

Re: Water Ingress

Last winter I finally solved the problem with a spray can of Rustoleum Leak Stop. I sprayed the stuff into the gap between the fixed rear side window and the bodywork. ...

Re: Seat Frame Repair and Woolies Leather Renovation

I used Woolies "Jensen" kit on the marked and desiccated magnolia leather in my previous Excel. I applied the dye with an airbrush after the leather had been given a thorough cleaning and I was pleased with the results. I didn't bother using the sealing paste afterwards. I think the dye has got to b...

Good to see you both managed to get away for the weekend Phil. It's sod's law we've had a great summer which started early but so far we've had no car shows to go to.

Re: Leaky door seal fix

This is the same sort of 14x12mm seal I used Kerry https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4M-D-shape-Car-Door-Window-Truck-Van-Motor-Edge-Moulding-Rubber-Strip-Sealing-UK/313119423831?hash=item48e75f3d57:g:Y~0AAOSweNle60IN . It's seems the same stuff is sold by many different sellers. It's been on my car for ye...

Re: Look what just turned up?

Re the poly ARB bushes Richard. I'd been told by a Lotus specialist that when switching over to poly bushes to avoid using them on the steering rack they make the steering twitchy. I've no personal experience of them.

Re: Spotted in the States

I see what you mean Shaun. The tax disc in the window looks like it's from 1987.

I noticed the photo watermark in the top left hand corner is from the "Supercar Photo Collection". Why would a vendor use a library photo? Maybe he's a Nigerian Prince living in California ?
