Re: Can I remove the inlet manifold complete with carbs?
Yes, its the best way to remove the whole assembly and the easiest. To get the head off you will need to take the right hand engine mount off and just take the bolts out of the left hand mount. This will allow you to push the engine across the engine bay far enough to get the head off.

Re: Lotus 4x4 electra
Had a very close look at the Notts lotus meeting yesterday. Its very well made and finished, and huge yes, but the owner also has a sensible Evora. The wheels and brake discs were enormous on thier own but I can see problems there eventually because they reported that most slowing down was using the...

Re: Gearbox Fluid
Id agree with Stu. The nylon cup at the base of the gearstick disintegrates but it can be sorted from inside the car. Take the centre trim out and then undo the rubber cone under it you will find the gearstick is held in with 4 10mm bolts. Lift the stick out and see if the cups in one piece, it prob...

Re: Gps speedo
Ive been using the speed on an old tomtom unit, and occasionally on a phone app because my speedo is out due to a new diff ratio. Both seem to lag well behind the analogue speedo when accelerating hard and catch up after a few seconds but I was wondering if a purpose made unit would be better, plus ...

Re: Gps speedo
Im looking at this on the link, very similar looking to the standard unit, white and yellow numbers and just needs the bezel painting black. It can be driven by pulses or an extra bit can be added for gps.
