The nags head, HU17 9SH, on the 2nd sat lunchtime (12 oclock) of each month. Very friendly bunch that usually have a meal together too. A great range of cars turn up, most of which I didn't capture cos I was slightly distracted.
Very impressive bunch of much loved Excels.

Re: Lotus in the Peak 2024
Have good time everyone, I will see you on the sunday. Bash I will be bringing my menu of boot warmed cheese and jam sandwiches marinated by exhaust fumes with a second course of slightly wilted mars bar wrapped in a hard to remove paper wrapping. Followed by much sucking of dirty fingernail sticky ...

Re: Wiper motor...again!
Is the spindle free ? I know you have tested it with the arm off but the spindle itself has a tendancy to seize up and could be causing your problem. An easier check than removing the whole assembly would be to remove the instrument panel leave the wiper arm off and then undo the nut on the motor to...

I never used to rev mine over 6000 because it didnt seem to improve after that. Ive not seen these graphs before but they do seem to confirm my thoughts.

Re: Can I remove the inlet manifold complete with carbs?
Yes, its the best way to remove the whole assembly and the easiest. To get the head off you will need to take the right hand engine mount off and just take the bolts out of the left hand mount. This will allow you to push the engine across the engine bay far enough to get the head off.

Re: Lotus 4x4 electra
Had a very close look at the Notts lotus meeting yesterday. Its very well made and finished, and huge yes, but the owner also has a sensible Evora. The wheels and brake discs were enormous on thier own but I can see problems there eventually because they reported that most slowing down was using the...
