Lynne and I are happy to go with the Manifold again. Not much going on around it but food was good and reasonable price.

Re: Brake pedal adjustment

Forgot to update this: Bled the whole system again. Went for a driive but the pedal was the same as before. I think the possibilty of makeing the brakes bind made me over compensate and I left too bigger gap between the 'push rod' and the master cylinder. So got to do it again :( The next day I put ...

Re: NEC Classic Motor Show 2023 Friday 10 - Sunday 12 November 2023

I took a few pictures on Sunday morning before the doors opened. Over 70,000 came through the doors which is back up to 2018 levels - pre Covid....

Heater cable problem

With the instrument cluster out the other day I noticed one of the operating cables to the heater was flapping about. The little peg on the lever had snapped off. As luck would have it, it was easy to access so I tried to pull the lever off the spindle but no joy - it wasn't shifting. So as it would...

Re: Brake pedal adjustment

Bash - I also did the Tippex thing. As long as the pedal is improved and the brakes don't bind I'm happy. Question - I bled the brakes last Saturday. As only a small amount of air has got into where I removed the pipes and put bungs in the holes - can I get away with just bleeding the front brakes t...

Re: Brake pedal adjustment

Got it moving. Guess it's the first time it's been adjusted since 1988. Used this to grip the knurled end by holding it at an angle, not ideal - a bit brutal but it worked and didn't mess up the knurled bit  Once the 7mm screw was moving it was quite easy to adjust. https://onedrive.live.com/e...

Re: Brake pedal adjustment

OK thanks Pete
I'm a bit nervous of shearing the end off as it's very tight. As you say 8mm is too small and 9mm too big plus it's recessed so you need an off set ring spanner anyway. This should be a simple thing to do :x I will have another go
