Re: New comer - Progress (edit)

What do we think on coverdales swatch colours for 'beiges/golds'? None are close to the original - "Gold" https://1drv.ms/i/s!AqnInSYsXaDWmT0WMRjbyqc3lUDv?embed=1&width=1000&height=600 I went with Blenheim Champaign (PCHL), the closest to 'Gold'. Once fitted and the original out of sight, you won't...

Re: Diff oil change

Finally got a chance to get the car up in a lift to have another whack at it... It's mad how easier a job gets when you're able to stand upright below the car, it came right off. Went with Castrol EP90. As with anything with a Lotus, once she knows one thing is fixed, another issue comes along. I di...

Re: is it me ?

Likewise, some show, some not.

Onedrive received a bit of an update there recently, maybe something to do with that?

Celebration spotted in the wild

https://1drv.ms/i/c/1268678c60b75c0e/IQRLO5-HuEq3RZ9GaVmFbfEdAUpbHoPN6iIRC6cYaIkEdyg?height=660 A cousin of mine who is over in Cambridgeshire working on a farm sent me this a few weeks back. I presume a celebration, lovely to see. You Englishmen are blessed. I always enjoy trips to the mainland as...

Re: Diff oil change

Buy a correct size ring spanner and get a 6 foot scaffold pole. Dont use sockets as when you wind it out it will jam against the wish bone. Normally they are tight as a Scotsman buying walkers crisps, and go off with a bang they break. Best done from underneath with car in the air. Yes I've got the...

Diff oil change

Wanted to change the diff oil today but that fill plug is a tramp to access. How has people navigated this one? My sockets are either to long or too short with the lower wishbone in the way and a spanner just wont get up there. Tried a knucke too but not enough room to get it twisted round. Added to...

I had something like this - there was an internal leak in the thermal valve, so none of the vacuum was getting to the distributor.
Would get some popping on overrun and hesitation on acceleration.
Sounds like an issue I'm currently having Alan, How did you sort it in the end?

Front valance taking abuse

Those of us with the later added front valance, do you have issues with scraping the absolute life out of it? I don't have the lower rubber strip, I decided against it as I didn't have one to start with and also in my estimation, it made a low front lower and the air dam purposes it brings at high s...

I'd buy it too if my name was 663
If we name our children after our number plates then we wouldn't have to be out of pocket buying them.

Re: Grand Tourers Register

Nice to see the number growing steady since 2020.

Yes, K694 CGM is MOT'd since Feb '24. Haven't given an update in ages, but she's running well, whilst sorting jobs as they come along... which I've come to appreciate as standard Lotus ownership procedure.
