Re: 1983 Non Running Eclat
Thought I would update this thread. Drove the car today up and down a private road . No lights or bonnet and lots of induction noise. Re: Fuel Cap Excel
They do have a used one . They really have quite unexplainable pricing .
I think a lot of their used stuff seems a good deal until you say you need something.

Re: Distributor
As an update all sorted . The Powerspark does not need any of the Lotus ignition parts to work, just power off the coil and we were away . Did a first start up last weekend after the engine rebuild and it started almost immediately . Watched the carbs fill up and turned the key and within two second...

Rear Upright snapped
The joy continues
Whilst waiting for some ignition parts we have been servicing the brakes and discovered the rear offside upright is broken .
So I am on the hunt for one if anyone knows of one that would be good
Thanks

It's taken a year to get it back together and no spark. Spent much of today doing all the tests , cleaning all terminals and testing volts and continuity. No spark at all. I have ordered a £20 amplifier unit of e bay for the unit and will try again next weekend. Has anyone fitted one of these powers...

Re: Late Excel SE
What makes you want this car?
That's a genuine question by the way . It seems the interest in this model is still relatively low and prices held back to me . Just be interested to know from someone who is so clear on what they want .
Thanks
