Howards Way

I Don't know if you have seen a TV drama series Howard's Way, but there is a brown late Lotus Excel SE being driven by the character Jan Howard. It appears mostly in Series 5. Worth a look.

Re: Grand Tourers Register

I have come into contact with another Lotus Excel SE owner in my neck of the woods.
I have informed him of our forum, so I am hoping he takes advantage of it.
He uses the same garage as me for any work on his car.
His Reg no. is D263XRB.
I hope this helps with the register.

I know this is a time old subject. But I have a 1987 Excel SE. Does the pressure cap Go on the front of the coolant tank nearest the radiator or on the back. I have just had some work done at the garage involving the coolant. I cannot remember which way around it should be. I will take a photo of wh...

Re: Power Steering Pump Pulley

If they removed the pump, then quite possibly they mounted the pump face A001 in front of the bracket A008 in the graphic below. This would account for 1/4 inch offset. https://ams03pap003files.storage.live.com/y4mqlyXei4ppAn0BnKuQIefBCmI4wfFPAZ5PJGdnNMn_ZpZHUmKJdGcncnVhT7y3mes_V8GMtXoReBO8-ncOP13V...

Re: Power Steering Pump Pulley

Is it offset or has the pump bracket rear fixing come loose, it can cause the pulley to be out of line. Bash It is offset as the garage removed and replaced the pump when fitting the cambelt. The garage I use are very experienced as they only deal with classic and historic vehicles. I trust them an...

Power Steering Pump Pulley

Hi, I was wondering if any one can help? I own a 1987 lotus Excel SE. I have just had the cambelt replaced and the garage discovered there was a slight fray in the drive belt (Fan belt). They showed me the power steering pump pulley is about 1/4 inch offset from the other pulleys. I have checked all...

Re: Fuel system and E5/E10 fuels

Very fortunate where I live. There is a fuel station called Local Fuels that do E0 fuel. If I do have to use E5 I use a fuel additive that is supposed to help.
The Fuel garage is based in Bexhill, East Sussex.

Re: ULEZ expansion 2023 have your say

I used to live about 3 miles from Heathrow Airport inside the M25. 1,300 aircraft take off and land there per day, are they being charged £12.50 per day? I will not be visiting family that still live within the M25 are very often when the ULEZ is introduced. I have a 2004 Toyota Previa diesel and a ...
