unedited from the words Angus and I submitted
Do you know the source of the photo used in AL Shaun?
Just thinking would be a decent pic for the 2025 calendar thread.

Tony
Nice idea. It was taken by Angus Marshall when Jerry paid him visit.

Re: Jerry Taylor

Really nice tribute to Jerry written by Angus with quotes from Shaun in Absolute Lotus magazine, full page. January / February 2025 issue 42 Just purchased it. Yes it's a nice piece, and unedited from the words Angus and I submitted so credit the editor for devoting a whole page of the magazine to ...

Re: Jerry Taylor

Just read this and was really shocked. Had no idea he was ill. Really hard to believe. Shaun - if you are in contact with Di please send condolences from me and Lynne. He was always such a big character at Lotus in the Peak and guaranteed good conversation and a few laughs. I remember when we were ...

Can't stop thinking about this :(. Great memories though, as you say Shaun.

Pete
No, me neither Pete. It really is very sad. As you know he hadn't been retired long and him and Di had lots of plans. :(

I have a photo on FB from Ripon the other year with the union flag seemingly coming out of his car roof, so I put it to half mast - ex military style
That's a very fitting gesture

Re: Jerry Taylor

That's terrible news Shaun. I wasn't even aware that he'd been ill - he's not been on the forum for ages. If you speak to Di send her my sincere condolences. Thanks for letting us know. Pete Yes I will Pete. Its hard to believe he's gone. I didn't see him very often but I will miss him massively. T...

Bit like the Esprits then.
I'd beg to differ, Esprit guys are a friendly bunch in my experience ( well, I'm friendly and I own an Esprit 😄) who have a lot of respect for Excels and their owners, plus the Esprit has far more in common with the Excel.

Re: Govt consultation on Classic & historic vehicles - Important!

Thanks, Richard. I’ll take a look. The current systems for dealing with older vehicles don’t cause me any problems & I don’t know of any group of people that suffers due to the current systems, or will suffer in future. I wonder why the government is devoting so much resource to this. There are so ...

Yes saw it. Interesting and quite touching to see Mike's reaction. Brought back memories of the white one I had as a kid, not sure I ever took it in the bath with me though!

Re: Lotus in the Peak 2024

Sadly Carol and I won't be able to make it again this year, first time we've missed two years in a row since we started going in 2015 :( . Determined to be there next year though. At least by then Pete should definitely have the Elite finished???
