Re: For sale project Calypso Red Lotus Excel SE 1989

Hi Keith, Thanks for confirming that it’s still for sale. Unfortunately it’s too late now to include it in the “cars for sale” list I put together for the NEC Resto Show this weekend. Where else have you advertised it, if anywhere? I checked the 6 or 7 most obvious sales sites on the internet and yo...

Re: For sale project Calypso Red Lotus Excel SE 1989

Hi Keith,

Is this car still for sale, or has it gone now?

I'm trying to put together a list of cars currently for sale, for the NEC Resto Show, we often have people asking about buying one when they visit the stand. Happy to include yours, but I could do with a photo!

Re: Elite restoration begins!

That looks splendid! Fascinating to see something so familiar yet with such major changes, and yet it all looks perfectly integrated - if you weren't familiar with the engine, you wouldn't know it wasn't factory, apart from possibly the serpentine belt being a more modern touch than is seen on an en...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

Thanks Marcus, that looks really good. Given what Graeme has done for us, I would like to support him, and I agree that the pictures and the option to have one done of your own car would be a nice offering on the stand. As Richard W has mentioned, we do need to be very wary here - amongst all the ru...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

OK - Tony on Friday. Richard W has agreed not to attend Friday, so that Phil can have a wristband, and Richard will pass the merch to Tony to bring in on Friday morning. Phil - I'm putting you in for Friday at the moment, but if you'd rather come a different day that's fine, just let me know in adva...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

I'm arranging a meet with Richard Friday morning. Thanks Stu. If Stu no longer needs a pass then I can come to the show on Friday morning and bring the stuff - saves having to drive across just to hand over to Tony. Farmer Richard, are you ok with this? Cheers, Richard Sounds like a good plan. Tony...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

I can do Friday, no problem. TBH, it's probably slightly better for me than Saturday. Not sure I understand the start of this, as I had a Saturday slot and it seams you were looking for a Friday ticket. Doesn't matter though. I can meet you somewhere Richard W to collect mugs.drop me a text and we ...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Discounted Tickets

Good morning! The "Pocket Guide" for the show will be published tomorrow, but as an exhibitor we get access a day early. This small pamphlet replaces the rather larger glossy programme they used to do, and contains all the info about show times, stands, layout, and what's on the live stage etc. If y...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

Many apologies Tony - Richard W needs to come on the Friday to bring the merch for sale, he cannot make Thursday. So I'll have to re-allocate your ticket to Richard. I'll make sure you have priority for next year! Revised schedule: Friday 22nd: Richard Gosling Pete Boole Matt Oxley Jake Oxley Mark R...

What's the dress code?
Clothes are required. Please do not confuse it with this show:

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

Wristband admin: For build-up, wristbands are handed out at the door without restriction, you need to either scan a copy of the Site Rules (not sure if this can be seen without my login?) with your smartphone on arrival, or bring a paper copy with you. Bring decent footwear (not trainers, apparently...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2024 - Call for Volunteers

Many thanks for all your offers to help - in the end there were a few more offers than wristbands, so Phil - thanks for you offer but this time we'll let you off, and Tony, I've put you down for Saturday only (but you can swap to a different day if preferred). The order of service for each day is: F...

Re: Door lights

Remove the delay relay (long yellow one under steering column) then you can tell instantly if what you are doing is working. Without it fitted the lights work in the same way. Does that mean that, with the relay just removed, the lights will come on and off with the door switch? My delay is very sp...
