Thanks for the kind words.
I'm sorry to have to step down immediately, but recent events have convinced me that there's just going to be more conflict if I stick around.

Re: Thank You Angus
As well as thanking Angus, we should also thank Mike Kimberley who set this off by providing the details of the company which originally made the frames, and which is making the frames today. Cheers, Richard And I have always given him due credit for putting me in touch with the man who knew which ...

Re: NEC - November 2019
Right fine. If someone wants to collect the passes and all the other stuff for the show, you know my address. Clearly I'm not doing a good enough job for you.

Re: NEC - November 2019
Just to clarify something - the only reason we've been able to accommodate visitors in the past has been because a) my car was on the stand so we got 2 passes for that + 2 organiser passes - leaving me with 3 spares, OR b) I managed to win some extra tickets in online competitions. Neither of those ...

Re: Sealing the Windscreen - advice please
I know you're certain you know where the water is coming in - but have you checked that the A pillar covers are properly sealed to the screen as well? Water gets under them, runs down and around and in behind the dash...

Re: Eclat to Excel, when?
All Excels were originally registered as Eclat Excels - but some owners managed to persuade DVLA to change it.

And the last naughty child has checked in.
Unfortunately, there are no spare passes this year.
Apologies to those who offered to help with the stand. Your offer is appreciated.

That's normal for the non-SE.Makse wrote:Thanks Alan will compare to what I have. One thing I do know is that the dizzy on the car has no vacuum take off.

Re: NEC - November 2019
And if I don't hear from them by the end of this week, I may be forced to look for others to fill in their places since I'll be forced to assume they're not attending.
If I've already received a reply from you - you're fine, but if I haven't - you have another email from me today.

Re: convoluted tubing near rear most carb
This might help - you can probably ignore all the emissions control F pipe stuff, but the vacuum take-offs would be worth checking against you car.

Re: Bumpers-replacement
Thanks guys, it's a bit clearer now. I've managed to work out that at the rear I need "jacknuts" for the outer fixings because it is a new bumper-those I've ordered. The front does seem pretty straightforward, but I'm still confused about the threaded holes behind the sidelight units-presuming that...
